10 Years of Art, Community, and Living the Lake Life
10 Years of Art, Community, and Living the Lake Life
In the summer of 2015, I got the keys to what would become the heart of my biggest dream—a little art shop, just me, my kiln, and a vision to build something rooted in creativity, community, and connection. I didn’t know exactly what it would become, but I knew I wanted to create a space where art could thrive, where people could gather, and where lake life could be celebrated every day.
Those early years were filled with markets, long nights, and meeting some of the most talented artists and kind-hearted people I’ve ever known. Slowly, those friendships turned into collaborations, and the shop began to grow—not just with my own work, but with the work of makers I deeply admired. Together, we built something beautiful and unique.
One piece of glass started it all—the glass feather. Rooted in my Indigenous heritage and spirituality, it holds deep meaning for me. In 2017, that feather took on a life of its own and transformed into our trademark logo. We printed it on a t-shirt—and the rest, as they say, is history.
That feather was something different to everyone who saw it. Some thought it looked like a leaf, others a sailboat or a tree. But no matter what people saw, the feeling was the same—it reminded them of the lake, of home, of peace, and of all the good things in life. It became a symbol of our brand and our community, and it still gives me chills to see it worn with pride across the country.
Fast forward to today—we are no longer just a little art shop. We’re a lifestyle brand with roots that run deep and wings that have spread wide. We showcase the work of over 30 local artists, we host glass workshops and creative events, and most importantly, we continue to bring people together through art and shared experience.
Giving Back to the Lake That Inspires Us
The lake has always been at the heart of everything we do. It inspires our art, our logo, our lifestyle—and we believe in protecting what we love. That’s why we’re proud to support lake conservation efforts through our give-back programs. Whether it’s through fundraising initiatives, special product releases, or event partnerships, a portion of our proceeds goes directly toward preserving the natural beauty of our waters. Because when we care for the lake, we care for the generations to come.
To our community, to our customers, to every single person who has walked through our doors, shopped online, worn our gear, taken a workshop, or cheered us on—thank you. You’ve made these past 10 years more than I ever imagined possible.
I am endlessly grateful that I took a chance on this dream, and that I get to live it out with my family by my side. Here’s to continuing the journey, to staying rooted in community, and to chasing dreams that light us up inside.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for believing. And thank you for living the lake life with us.
With love and gratitude,
Justine
